About the Role

MEP Connections is recruiting on behalf of a respected MEP consultancy with a strong presence across Ireland and the UK. As the company continues to grow its mechanical division, it is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the delivery of innovative and sustainable building services design across a wide-ranging project portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to gain hands-on project experience, work closely with senior professionals, and build a long-term career in a progressive and people-focused consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the design and coordination of mechanical building services, including HVAC, hot/cold water, and drainage systems Produce design calculations, technical specifications, and reports Work collaboratively with internal MEP teams and external consultants to ensure integrated project delivery Attend design team and client meetings, contributing to technical discussions Support the development of design solutions from concept through to completion Keep up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices

About You

Degree qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering Minimum 2-5 years' experience in mechanical design within a consultancy environment Solid understanding of building services systems and relevant design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, IES, Hevacomp) Strong communication and teamwork skills Motivated to learn and progress toward Chartership (CEng or equivalent)
