Role Overview:

We are seeking an

experienced Mechanical Design Engineer

who is local to our company and passionate about their craft. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running, bringing proven design expertise to our projects. You will work both independently and collaboratively with our dedicated team to deliver innovative, practical, and efficient designs that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and contribute to the mechanical design and development of products from concept through to production.

Create detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and specifications.

Apply sound engineering principles to ensure robust, cost-effective, and manufacturable designs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and project management, to ensure smooth project execution.

Troubleshoot and provide technical solutions to design and manufacturing challenges.

Work independently with minimal supervision, while also contributing effectively as a team player.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer.

Strong proficiency in CAD software preferably (Autodesk Inventor)

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and creative thinking skills.

Ability to manage projects from start to finish with attention to detail.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

A self-motivated and proactive attitude with the ability to work independently.

Local to Bolton.

Desirable:

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.

Experience with prototype testing and product validation.

Previous experience in a small to medium-sized company environment.

Previous experience working with

conveyors or food packaging equipment

(desirable but not essential).

Hours & Benefits:

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5.00 pm.
