Job Description

:

Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience from a materials handling / conveyor or special purpose machinery background, looking to join a leading company where you will work on specialist projects and have excellent opportunities to progress and develop?

In this highly varied role, you will be working closely with the project team, under the guidance and supervision of the engineering manager and play a critical role in our business.

Main responsibilities include:

Attending hand over meetings with technical sales

Production of all assembly and detail drawings and associated parts lists

Creating bills of materials

Sending out enquiries for purchasing and advising on suppliers and costs for purchasing

Attending internal design review meetings with the manufacturing manager

Recording and undertaking design review changes and managing all drawing revisions

Production of site pack information for the installation team

Production of maintenance manuals and key spares lists

Implementing design changes from non-conformance reports.

Academic Qualifications:

HNC/degree in mechanical engineering discipline

Necessary Requirements:

Full UK Driving Licence

Pro-active approach

Ability to work well under pressure.

Material Handling / Conveyor or Special Purpose Machinery design experience.

Software / Requirements:

Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook) - Essential

2D CAD (Autodesk AutoCAD or similar) - Essential

3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor or Similar) - Essential

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 45,000.00-55,000.00 per year
