Our manufacturing client is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer
Salary: discussed on application
Location: Near Dartford - car driver required
Hours: Monday to Friday, 0800 to 1700
Industry: Fabrication and sheet metal

- Working on detail designs and developing manufacturing drawings.
- Liaising with various teams within the company
- Modify and up-issue existing drawings.
- Compiling design documentation.
- Creating a BOM
- Occasional site visits will be required
- Initially working alongside an experienced design engineer, understanding and support with the creation and preparation of engineering drawings.
- Attend and participate in internal and external project meetings,
- A knowledge and understanding of manufacturing techniques would be an additional advantage
- 2D/3D modelling, engineering drawings and models would be beneficial.
- Experience of core Microsoft office applications i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word etc essential.
- Relevant Qualifications i.e., Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Previous experience within a design office environment, with experience in mechanical engineering design.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to understand/produce detailed technical drawings, with a willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail
