Our manufacturing client is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer
Salary: discussed on application
Location: Near Dartford - car driver required
Hours: Monday to Friday, 0800 to 1700
Industry: Fabrication and sheet metal

Mechanical Design Engineer duties will include

Working on detail designs and developing manufacturing drawings.
Liaising with various teams within the company
Modify and up-issue existing drawings.
Compiling design documentation.
Creating a BOM
Occasional site visits will be required

Mechanical Design Engineer role and responsibilities:

Initially working alongside an experienced design engineer, understanding and support with the creation and preparation of engineering drawings.
Attend and participate in internal and external project meetings,
A knowledge and understanding of manufacturing techniques would be an additional advantage
2D/3D modelling, engineering drawings and models would be beneficial.
Experience of core Microsoft office applications i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word etc essential.

Mechanical Design Engineer Personal Requirements

Relevant Qualifications i.e., Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Previous experience within a design office environment, with experience in mechanical engineering design.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to understand/produce detailed technical drawings, with a willingness to learn.
Strong attention to detail
