A Mechanical Design Engineer is needed for a small, dynamic engineering
consultancy where your ideas matter and your input makes a real impact.

From industrial plant layouts to structural steelwork and one-off product
designs, you'll work across varied sectors for clients ranging from global
site surveys or team collaboration.
Core responsibilities needed for the Mechanical Design Engineer:
Develop design documentation: 3D models, 2D drawings, schematics, calculations
Produce supporting materials: certification dossiers, quality plans, manuals
Design with precision to meet technical, safety, and client expectations
Collaborate across disciplines and with suppliers
Maintain high standards in quality, delivery, and budget control
Key Skills:
Seeking a highly motivated individual with experience in:
Plant layouts and materials handling systems (silos, conveyors, dryers, etc.)
Structural and steelwork design (portal frames, access platforms, etc.)
Pipework design and detailing
Proficiency in SolidWorks, Tekla, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and creative thinking
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
