Job Description

Autarky Automation Limited has been established for over 50 years, designing, manufacturing and installing special purpose handling equipment and conveyors for a wide variety of industries.

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in the design of bespoke handling equipment and conveyors to work in our drawing office based in East Grinstead, West Sussex.

We require the following skills:

Autodesk Inventor Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel etc. Experience in Bespoke Handling Equipment Design Experience in Bespoke Conveyor Design
The successful applicant will need to work closely with other members of the mechanical and electrical design team and liaise with the Operation Manager to ensure equipment is designed, manufactured and installed to the required specification, within budget and customer driven timescales.

The main responsibilities will be as follows:

Site Layouts and Approval Drawings Detailed design using Autodesk Inventor Preparing detailed component drawings Component Specification Preparing Schedules for manufactured & bought out parts Liaising with customers Liaising with workshop / production Site installation support Site Surveys (Mostly UK)
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,000.00-40,000.00 per year
