Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our innovative engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing detailed mechanical designs, analysing system performance, and ensuring the integration of components within complex systems. The successful applicant will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with schematic development, system design, and root cause analysis. Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for machinery using SolidWorks. Apply knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and design-for-manufacture principles. Perform fit selection, tolerance stack analysis, and apply GD&T for precision and reliability. Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications for production. Manage machine builds during production, ensuring quality and timely delivery. Coordinate with manufacturing teams and suppliers for efficient production. Support prototype builds, testing, and validation activities. u Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical and control systems.

Qualifications

Mechanical Engineering or related field. Proficiency in SolidWorks and strong CAD skills. Knowledge of materials, machining, fabrication, and assembly processes. Experience with GD&T and tolerance analysis. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. MS Office proficiency. Experience with Sage200 MRP system (advantageous, not essential). Understanding of CNC manufacturing processes. Familiarity with PLM systems and design for manufacturability principles.
