Our client in Middleton is looking to recruit mechanical Design Engineer to work out of their site

The work will involve:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for creating a wide variety of designs for machinery products Designing and building components to meet customer specifications Creating final assembly, machining drawings and modifying and improving existing designs Ensuring designs are safe to build whilst cost effective Provide technical support to the shopfloor and site installation teams Ensuring all work is completed and released in timely manner to meet agreed timescales Liaison with customers, suppliers and internal departments ensuring information is free and flowing.

Working times and pay:

Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4.30pm and Friday 8am to 3pm Salary of between 35,000 and 45,000 per annum dependent on experience Permanent role Various benefits including additional leave, holiday buy back scheme, bonus schemes

Skills/Experience Needed:

HNC in Mechancial Engineering Experience using Solidworks and AutoCAD or similar 3D software Must be able to read and understand 2D drawing Project management experience from concept to completion Ability to work under pressure to meet timescales and deadlines Knowledge of shopfloor and manufacturing processes, as well as hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical being advantageous.
