The Role:



As a

Mechanical Design Engineer

, you'll take ownership of the design and development of advanced lighting systems - from concept through to production. You'll work across a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with major aircraft manufacturers to deliver high-quality, safety-critical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead the mechanical design of components, assemblies, and systems throughout the full product lifecycle. Produce CAD models, detailed technical drawings, and documentation to support production and certification. Perform engineering analysis (stress, thermal, FEA, tolerance). Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners, including aircraft OEMs. Ensure compliance with relevant aerospace standards (FAA, EASA, AS9100). Support prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of designs. Apply DFM principles to create efficient and production-ready solutions

What We're Looking For:



Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering (BEng/MEng or equivalent). 7+ years of mechanical design experience, ideally within aerospace or a regulated industry. Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks (or similar). Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing methods, and design for manufacturing. A proactive, hands-on problem solver with great attention to detail. Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 35,000.00-55,000.00 per year
