Job Description

Prest Engineering has been established for nearly 30 years and in which time has built up an excellent relationship and reputation within many different industries from quarrying and aggregates to agriculture and food.

We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic mechanical design engineer to grow a design department within the company.

The successful candidate will produce designs, drawings and fabrication drawings to meet all the relevant customer and production team requirements.

The role will require some site visits to ascertain requirements at conception and set out at installation. Previous experience with structural steel, material transfer systems and machine tools would be advantageous.

Main Roles;

To produce original designs/drawings from customers requirements.

To produce fabrication drawings for new and existing designs

To work with production staff on any drawing queries

To oversee build and installation quality

To assist in the locating and purchasing of any required items

Key Skills and Attributes;

Previous experience in structural steelwork and material transfer industries

Good CAD software knowledge

Good drafting standards

Good understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques

Ability to clearly communicate design ideas

Ability to manage own workload

A positive attitude

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 35,000.00-55,000.00 per year
