Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer to join our innovative engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing detailed mechanical designs and systems that meet project specifications and industry standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects involving system design, manufacturing, and advanced engineering tools. The successful applicant will possess strong technical expertise in mechanical engineering principles and CAD software, contributing to the development of high-quality mechanical solutions aligned with ASME codes and standards.

Duties



Create detailed mechanical designs using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements. Develop schematics, system layouts, and technical drawings adhering to GD&T standards. Perform root cause analysis on mechanical failures and implement corrective actions. Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulations using tools like MATLAB, Simulink, and LabVIEW to validate design performance. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Arduino systems, and CNC machinery into mechanical designs. Ensure designs meet manufacturing specifications and facilitate seamless transition from concept to production. Apply knowledge of ASME codes & standards during the design process to ensure safety and compliance. Participate in project scheduling, resource planning, and documentation activities to support project milestones. Support prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.

Skills



Proficiency in CAD software including SolidWorks, Creo, and Drafting tools for mechanical design. Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including system design, schematics, and manufacturing processes. Experience with GD&T, FEA analysis, and simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, and C++. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Arduino platforms, CNC machining, and system integration. Familiarity with quantum engineering concepts is a plus. Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively within complex mechanical systems. Understanding of manufacturing standards such as ASME codes & standards. Mechanical knowledge encompassing schematics creation, drafting, and system design documentation. Skills in project scheduling and managing multiple tasks within tight deadlines. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 40,000.00-60,000.00 per year
