Design Engineer - Warrington (with travel to Dudley area)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing manufacturing business experiencing significant expansion.
This position is ideal for someone with at least 2 years' design engineering experience who is either already managing projects or is ready to take the next step into full project ownership - managing projects from start to finish and getting involved in new product development.
You will play a key role in new product development, jig and fixture design, assembly processes, factory set-up, R&D and product testing. This role offers genuine project ownership and long-term career development.
You will be based in Warrington and must be open to travelling to the Dudley area on an ad hoc basis (travel expenses covered).
Key Responsibilities:
3D design and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
Jig, fixture and assembly design
BOM creation and product data management
Prototype testing and R&D activity
CAM and flat pattern development
Supporting production and resolving manufacturing issues
Customer specials and technical enquiries
Key Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
Minimum 18-24 months' industry experience in a design role
Strong SolidWorks background
Sheet metal and fabrication experience
Project ownership mindset, or clear ambition to step into full project management of design projects
Independent, proactive and hardworking
Must hold a full UK driving licence
Must not require sponsorship support
Package:
31,000 - 35,000 salary
32 days holiday (including bank holidays)
