Description

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, testing, and development of varied mechanical components for our Formula One car. You will work as part of a highly skilled team responsible for delivering innovative design solutions that support the team's goal of being a top team in the FIA Constructor's Championship.###

Key Responsibilities

Creating design schemes from concept stage for mechanical components. Producing detailed drawings to facilitate the manufacturing of these components. Providing follow-up support during the assembly, testing, and development phases. Developing practical solutions to resolve issues arising from testing and development. Actively contributing to design concept development and continuous improvements. Attending and participating in team meetings and technical discussions. Keeping up to date with Formula 1 regulations and industry standards.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Relevant mechanical design experience in a motorsport environment, preferably Formula 1. Proficiency in 3D CAD systems, ideally CATIA V6. Experience producing high-level design schemes and detailed drawings of complex assemblies under tight deadlines. Creative problem-solving skills with an innovative and flexible approach to engineering challenges. A strong analytical mindset throughout all stages of the design process. Excellent written and oral communication skills. The ability to work calmly and confidently under pressure to meet deadlines. A self-motivated, enthusiastic, and adaptable attitude. Commitment to teamwork and the ability to work effectively in a fast-changing environment. A solid understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety best practices.



This is a full-time office-based role based at our campus in Silverstone, with additional requirement to travel to other locations where necessary.
