Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical parts and assemblies using SolidWorks
Create detailed production drawings and technical documentation
Collaborate with electronics/PCB designers to meet space and performance constraints
Conduct thermal and mechanical simulations
Support initial production builds and troubleshooting
Participate in design verification, qualification, and peer reviews
Work cross-functionally with production, quality, and project teams
Deliver projects within agreed timeframes and budgets
Maintain accurate technical records and reports
Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in 3D CAD - ideally SolidWorks
Experience across the full product design lifecycle
Strong team player with a self-starter mentality
Practical problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
Organised, methodical, and capable of managing personal workload
Desirable:
Prior experience in a high-reliability or regulated environment (e.g., aerospace, defence, marine)
Familiarity with design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA)
Exposure to simulation tools for thermal or mechanical analysis
