Mechanical Designer
Job Description
Mechanical Designer required by well established industrial automation company based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. Salary 30-40K depending on skills and experience. We provide standard and bespoke automated machinery and project management services and now require a number of Mechanical Designers to design automated machinery.
Candidates should possess the following skills:
-Proficiency with recent releases of SolidWorks (2014 preferred) or SWorks/Inventor
-Knowledge of Automated Machinery
-Proven background in general machine design.
-Strong detailing skills including knowledge and application of current ANSI/ASME/ISO drafting standards.
-Understanding and experience of Robotic and Motion Controlled Machinery
-Monitoring of Budgets and project plans
-Liaison with customers and suppliers
-Generation of Design, Operation and Maintenance documentation
-Ability to visit customer sites and determine "scope of work" and manage small projects
-Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
-Desire to work in a team orientated atmosphere
-Desire to work in a clean and technical environment and to learn advanced automation skills.
-Clean Driving License required
-Security clearance will be required at a future date
