We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for construction and troubleshooting high pressure pump systems and equipment. Also working with the Managing Director to develop and test new accessories for the product range. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations.
Renby have developed its own range of fogging systems that have a broad range of uses in industry ranging from dust suppression, humidification and cooling. Industries served include food packing, energy from waste, cement, through to zoos and even the occasional film set! Renby also represents other international organisations offering environment enhancing products in the bulk solids handling.
The company takes projects from initial customer contact through detailed evaluation, leading to full implementation and the associated project management this requires. Project timescales range from a few weeks to several years and the ability to maintain oversight of multiple projects at different stages forms a part of the varied work within the business. Our product range is targeted at high reliability, increasing efficiency and reducing costs for our clients, whilst simultaneously improving our client's environmental performance.
Duties
Assemble filtration units and high pressure pumps with associated components - leak free for each system using manual and rechargeable hand tools
Test systems, troubleshoot and sign off
Commissioning of equipment
Creating and working from engineering drawings and assembly manuals
Visual inspection of parts
Designs for and the operation of laser engraver and 3D Printer
Stock control and supplier orders
Supplier Management
Pick and select components for assembly
Maintain and update system picking lists
Working with 2D and 3D CAD to update and modify assembly drawings + working on new designs and concepts with the Managing Director
Telephone support of customers
Occasional maintenance of customer's equipment on site
Compliance with requirements of a Management of Health and Safety system.
Maintain Product and Maintenance Documentation
Interconnection of electronic components
The role is both office and workshop based.
Skills
Proficient in mechanical troubleshooting and repair techniques.
Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems is advantageous.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
Good communication skills for effective collaboration with customers and team members.
Familiarity with safety protocols in a workshop and industrial environments.
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
