An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering department at NCR Atleos in Dundee.

Responsibilities

Lead electro/mechanical development activities, providing estimates, manufacturing options etc. Experience in electro/mechanical product design and working with tooling suppliers and parts manufacturers. Working with Industrial design functions to deliver designs as conceived and within the commercial goals. Proven track record delivering cost effective designs to specification and engineering standards Supplier engagement and change management Lead design validation via design reviews, stress analysis, assembly tolerances, testing and problem correction CLCA Release work products using the approved system with all relevant documentation required to implement your design change

Experience

A Degree in Electro/Mechanical Engineering (Hons 2:1 or better preferred). Minimum 7 years of related experience Strong understanding of Electro/Mechanical design principles and technologies. Clearly understand documentation and the ability to work solely on problems as well as within a team environment Must be willing to work to and set high work standards and be a good communicator. Highly proficient in CAD (Pro/E or Solidworks preferred) FMEA experience. Module/Platforming/Product architectures Ability to work on several projects simultaneously Work with Suppliers throughout project lifecycle
