Join ENGIE/First Hydro Company in nurturing the future of sustainable energy. We're embarking on an exciting 600m+ refurbishment of the iconic Dinorwig Power Station, one of the UK's most inspiring infrastructure projects. As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll contribute to ensuring the safe operation, engineering integrity, and performance of our assets while being part of this landmark initiative.

We're Looking For


Collaboration and facilitation of plant refurbishment, maintenance, and replacement projects

Provision of expert mechanical engineering insights and development of innovative solutions

Implementation of residual life assessments and risk management for plant equipment

Resolution of plant-level challenges to enhance performance

Contribution to developing and implementing maintenance and asset management strategies

Partnership with diverse teams across the business

Adherence to statutory requirements and local procedures

Support in budget compilation and resource allocation


Your Profile


Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification/experience

In-depth knowledge and experience in mechanical engineering within the power industry

Experience in contract management and roles such as Technical Officer

IOSH Managing Safety certification

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop creative solutions

Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities

Chartered Engineer status (desirable)

Understanding of health, safety, and relevant legislation in the power sector
