Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
Conduct stress and performance analysis of mechanical designs.
Create 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, production, and quality departments.
Oversee the manufacturing and installation of mechanical systems.
Conduct regular maintenance checks and recommend improvements.
Ensure all designs and systems comply with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Investigate and resolve mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance issues.
Provide technical support during prototyping, testing, and production phases.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor).
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Good understanding of thermodynamics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
Knowledge of UK and EU safety and design standards.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and project management capability.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field (required).
Master's degree or Chartered Engineer status (preferred).
Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in a mechanical engineering role.
Experience in the manufacturing or industrial automation sector is advantageous.
