Job Summary:

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mechanical systems and machinery. The role involves working on production equipment, ensuring optimal performance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the company. The candidate should have strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and test mechanical components and systems. Prepare detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documentation. Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment. Conduct root cause analysis for mechanical failures and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with production, design, and quality teams to improve manufacturing efficiency. Ensure all designs comply with safety and quality standards. Support new product development and process improvement projects. Maintain proper documentation of designs, testing, and maintenance records. Evaluate and recommend improvements to mechanical systems for better performance and cost-efficiency. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for material selection and technical specifications.

Skills Required:

Strong knowledge of mechanical design and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Understanding of materials, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics. Good project management and organizational skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Knowledge of preventive maintenance and safety procedures. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field. 2-4 years of experience in a mechanical engineering or maintenance role. Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or production environments preferred. Professional certifications (like HVAC, CAD, or Six Sigma) are an advantage.
