About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our workshop team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the assembly, testing, and maintenance of mechanical components and sub-systems for our automation projects. You will also be involved in occasional on-site work at customer locations throughout the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble and test mechanical components and sub-systems according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
Assist with the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automation systems at customer sites.
Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in mechanical assembly and maintenance.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Experience with hand and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience of CAD beneficial but not essential
Willingness to travel within the UK.
