We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer preferably apprentice trained to join Newsmiths industrial washing machine and handling engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong Mechanical engineering background and demonstrate proficiency in various engineering tasks.

Responsibilities

Working with stainless steel sheet metal Experience in Tig Welding is essential Experience in polishing tig welds and sheet metal joints Experience in cutting and assembling box section/ angle frameworks The ability to fit shafts/ bearings/ pumps/ gearboxes and general engineering tasks Able to read & manufacture from 3D & AutoCad drawings, ensuring that you meet the required specifications and standards. Occasional working out on site for installations/ breakdowns as and when required

Qualifications

Skilled qualification in Mechanical Engineering/ Sheet metal work/ Tig Welding, HNC, BTEC, NVQ L3 or similar. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience. Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills to convey technical information.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 17.00-18.10 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
