Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experiencedMechanical Engineer to join our growing business. You will play a key role in the design, analysis, development, and testing of mechanical components and systems for future and current aircraft and aerospace platforms. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest levels of performance, safety, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical systems and components for aerospace applications.
Perform detailed engineering analysis (FEA, thermal, vibration, stress).
Support prototype development, testing, and validation of components. Ensure compliance with customer-specific quality requirements.
Ensure designs meet regulatory, safety, and customer specifications.
Provide technical input during design reviews and project meetings. Liaise with aerospace clients on quality-related matters and lead quality review meetings.
Generate and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, and reports.
Create detailed 2D/3D CAD models, drawings, and specifications.
Prototype development, testing, and validation
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the aerospace industry but not essential.* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or similar), experience with Katia preferred.
Desirable:
Experience working with Special Processes in the aerospace industry.* Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience or certification.* An understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and GD&T.
