Overview

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical systems and components using CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues in existing designs or processes. Create and interpret schematics for complex systems, ensuring clarity and accuracy in documentation. Utilise MATLAB and Simulink for modelling, simulation, and analysis of mechanical systems. Implement programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks within mechanical systems. Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure precision in design specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical and software components. Conduct system design evaluations, including performance testing and validation of prototypes in laboratory environments using LabVIEW. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to apply engineering principles effectively. Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for design purposes. Experience with MATLAB and Simulink for system modelling and analysis. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation applications. Understanding of GD&T principles for accurate design specifications. Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately. Knowledge of LabVIEW for testing and validation processes. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
