Northwest (primarily Wirral, with travel to other sites)
Contract:
Full-Time, Permanent
About Us
At Concept Projects Group, we don't just maintain machinery -- we engineer smarter, more efficient systems that keep industries moving. From FMCG and food production to pharmaceuticals and construction, our projects deliver real results for leading blue-chip clients.
We're entering an exciting period of growth, with a full pipeline of challenging projects and opportunities to innovate. As our business expands, we're looking to bring talented Mechanical Engineers into our team -- hands-on professionals who thrive in dynamic environments and take pride in quality craftsmanship.
If you want to be part of a company where your technical expertise helps shape the future of engineering delivery, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
This is a hands-on, varied position where no two days are the same. You'll work across multiple industrial sites in the Northwest, playing a key role in designing, developing, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems that improve performance and reliability.
From concept to completion, you'll bring ideas to life -- solving problems, driving efficiency, and helping us deliver projects that exceed expectations.
What You'll Do
Deliver mechanical solutions from initial design through to installation.
Support, maintain, and enhance manufacturing equipment (particularly in FMCG and pharmaceutical environments).
Repair and overhaul motors, pumps, valves, bearings, and shafts.
Modify and optimise existing machinery and manufacturing lines.
Work with utilities (compressed air, steam, water) and adjust piping systems.
Fabricate, fit, and assemble components from technical drawings.
Operate fabrication tools and plant equipment (training/licences provided if required)*. Provide technical insight and support to the project management team.
What We're Looking For
Time-served or apprentice-trained Mechanical or Electrical Engineer.
Proven experience in a similar, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong bench fitting and machining skills.
Sound understanding of design principles, materials, and CAD drawings.
Skilled in problem-solving, RCA, and continuous improvement.
Able to work independently and collaboratively, meeting tight deadlines.
Excellent communication skills and a confident, professional manner with clients.
Basic Microsoft Office skills for documentation and reporting.
Desirable but not essential:
MEWP/Scissor Lift experience or working at height certification.
Background in blue-chip manufacturing.
IOSH certification.
What We Offer
40,000-50,000 salary (depending on experience).
23 days' holiday + bank holidays (rising to 25 after probation).
Company pension scheme.
Regular training, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
Inclusive employee benefits, including free gym membership.
If you're a hands-on problem-solver with a passion for precision, innovation, and quality engineering, this is your chance to join a growing company that values skill, creativity, and continuous improvement.
Apply now and help shape the next chapter of Concept Projects Group.
