We are seeking interested applicants who have achieved or are expected to achieve a Mechanical Engineering related degree - that\'s it!.... no prior experience needed.

Your Graduate scheme

You\'ll be joining the Asset Planning Team that improve our business by building our asset strategies and standards to a level of international certification and pushing the boundaries of current practices and understanding to deliver value. Developing leading outcome delivery capability through robust governance, reporting and assurance to drive efficiency and create a clear line of sight from project through to programme to portfolio. Develop world leading Portfolio Management through effective lifestyle planning, costing and interventions for the short, medium and long term under varying scenarios.

Your role will include:
  • Rotating within the technical functions of Asset Planning Directorate responsible for long term planning.
  • Investment plan optimisation.
  • Asset modelling and optimisation.

As a part of your programme, you will take part in a number of soft skills workshops, including the following:

In addition, you will be given the opportunity to work on a variety of projects with your fellow graduates, such as organising, developing and running a conference event for the Institute of Water. This will allow you to develop your interpersonal and leadership skills, whilst working collaboratively with your peers.
You will also be given the opportunity to work on key business projects within your specialised field.

Good to know

Your graduate scheme will primarily be based South-East Wales. However, on occasions and with notice you may be expected to travel to sites across the whole of Wales and its borders.

Recruitment process - Upon application, you will receive a short behavioural assessment to complete. This should take 15-20 minutes. Should your application meet our criteria, the second stage of assessment will be an in-person assessment centre, which likely take place at our head office (Cardiff) between February/March 2024. Further information will be provided closer to the time.
