Mechnical Fitter - 2 month contract
? Location: Andover
? Pay Rate: 20 - 25 per hour (dependent on experience)
? Contract Length: 2 months (with potential for extension)

About the Company
An established engineering business based in Andover is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to support ongoing manufacturing projects.
The Role
This hands-on position involves the assembly, installation and maintenance of systems and equipment. The successful candidate will build and fit components, ensuring all work meets exacting technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and fit mechanical components & systems
- Carry out routine maintenance, fault-finding and repair work
- Install and test mechanical systems
- Work accurately from engineering drawings, schematics and manuals
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Fitting
- Proven background in a mechanical fitting role
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Competence in fault-finding and problem-solving
- Full UK driving licence (for site work)
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards
- Experience with torch brazing
- Instrument fitting
- Manual machining capability
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m
- Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m
