Job Description
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a growing and ambitious, family-run company. Based near Brough, the Fitter will play a crucial role both in the workshop and on-site. The role has a varied set of responsibilities including:
Planned and reactive maintenance to company machines and equipment.
Fabrication and welding projects.
Servicing and basic maintenance of fleet vehicles and trailers.
Fault finding and repair of various plant, machinery and equipment.
General yard preparation and supervision.
Experience required for the role:
Full UK driving licence. A mechanical fitting or engineering background. Broad experience working on vehicles, machinery and tools.
Skills and attributes:
Effective time management. Ability to work autonomously or within a team as required. Promote and maintain health and safety standards. Excellent punctuality, communication skills and professionalism. A positive, hard-working attitude.
Starting salary: up to 45,760
Contractual Hours: 40hrs p/w. Monday - Friday (08:30 - 16:30)
Overtime available paid 1.25x weekdays, 1.5x weekends
20 days annual leave + bank holidays.
All relevant PPE and tools provided.
All relevant courses/tickets provided.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to 22.00 per hour
