Receiving and Inspection:- Receive electric motors from suppliers and conduct initial inspections to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.- Document any discrepancies or damages and communicate with suppliers regarding issues.
Motor Stripping:- Safely disassemble electric motors, carefully removing components such as stators, rotors, bearings, and windings.- Utilize appropriate tools and techniques to avoid damage to motor parts during disassembly.
Component Evaluation:- Inspect stripped components for wear, damage, and functionality, determining which parts can be reused and which require replacement.- Measure and record dimensions of components to ensure compliance with specifications.
Cleaning and Detailing:- Clean and detail all components, removing contaminants such as grease, dirt, and corrosion using suitable cleaning agents and methods.- Prepare components for reassembly or replacement, ensuring they are in optimal condition.
Documentation:- Maintain accurate records of all received motors, inspections, component evaluations, and detailed processes.- Generate reports summarizing findings and recommendations for repairs or replacements.
Reassembly and Testing:- Reassemble electric motors, ensuring all components are installed correctly and securely.- Conduct functional testing of reassembled motors to verify performance and safety standards.
Final Delivery Preparation:- Package and label completed electric motors for delivery, ensuring they are protected during transport.- Coordinate with shipping and logistics teams to schedule and execute deliveries to clients or storage facilities.
A multi skilled engineer capable of working on, repairing and maintaining a wide range of Electric motors. Whilst working to and complying with the companies health & safety procedures and adhering to company SSW & RAMS. Working in engineering facilities both in house and on site at a variety of customer sites in the area, within a busy 24 hour 7 day a week operation supporting strategic customers from a well-equipped workshop environment.
