Overview:
We are currently seeking Mechanical Fitter's to join our Engineering team to carry out varied Mechanical Works on our clients sites.
Due to the nature of this role, regular travel to client sites and lodging away may be required to suit the businesses needs. This position will cover sites around the Western/Central region of our South-East contract.
Working hours are 7am - 3pm, call out duties are done on a weekly rota.
Responsibilities
General Mechanical duties
Installation of mechanical equipment such as motors, gearboxes, bearings
Fitting of steel support systems
Fault finding on mechanical equipment
Works can be varied and at times may be required to undertake other duties such as assisting an Electrician or Civils engineer
Responsibility for the use of a company van
Will work away from home on occasions when travelling is not in the best interest of the company, (this will tend to be Monday - Friday, weekends back home)
Implement all of the company's rules or procedures within the Health and Safety Policy that are appropriate to the activities being undertaken.
Understand and sign onto all CPP/RAMS on Site and follow Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments.
Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements and rules on Site.
Think Safety in mind at all times to look after yourself and your colleagues.
Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter
Mechanical apprenticeship trained or level 3 equivalent in a similar field
Confined Space trained
Experience on water treatment sites e.g. sewage plants, pumping stations (desirable)
CSCS Card Holder
First Aid trained (Desirable)
Health & Safety trained (IOSH) (Desirable)
