Mechanical Fitter
Location: Harworth

Salary: 40,000 per annum + Overtime available
Due to continued growth and expansion, we are currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter to join our business in Harworth on a permanent basis. The starting salary is 37,000 per annum, and the working hours are Panama Shifts and Rotating D/N/A Pattern.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspecting equipment and reporting defects to shift leaders and the Production Manager
• Performing mechanical repairs on various types of equipment
• Operating equipment during staff absences or holidays after training
• Maximising plant availability and optimising production lines

Experience and Skills:

• A recognised mechanical qualification (e.g., City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering)
• Experience in maintenance or manufacturing environments
• Candidates from a strong automotive background in fault finding and fitting with relevant NVQ qualifications will suit this role
• Knowledge of automated systems, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems
• Strong mechanical repair skills and experience with MIG & TIG welding (metal fabrication skills are advantageous)
• A flexible approach to work and the ability to work well within a small, collaborative team
• Strong problem-solving and fault diagnosis skills
• Mechanically minded and willing to be trained in different areas
