Mechanical Fitter

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter with proven industry experience. We are a family run business operating a busy sawmilling site with over 160 years' experience in the industry. We continue to invest in the latest technology and equipment and importantly, our employees. Continuous employee development is a priority for the company.

About The Role:

Applicants must have a solid grounding in Industrial Mechanical Engineering (or skills and experience which could be adapted to this environment) and have a strong Health & Safety work ethic. They must also have good communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work as part of a team or on their own initiative and also be able to complete the work in a safe and professional manner, whilst minimising disruption and inconvenience to production. The jobs will vary from day to day.

The role is shift work, which includes weekend working (1 in 3).

Skills and Experience Required:

HNC/HND/C&G or equivalent in an Engineering discipline Maintenance experience in hydraulic networks and pipework/ hose assembly would be preferable, but not essential Working on and repairing heavy duty machinery Follow PPM schedules Be able to work safely, under pressure, in a production environment

Pay: 43,000.00 per year
