Main Responsibilities

Working as part of a 4 shift pattern with a cover shift (5 shift fitters)

Working alongside shift electrician both days and nights, first responders to breakdowns.

Working cover shift once every 5 months.

Utilise Pemac CMMS to receive work, log work histories and allocate spares to the job.

Perform preventative maintenance checks on various assets.

Identifying failure modes of equipment and make recommendations to prevent further failures.

Repair and maintain rotating equipment such as pumps, rolls, gearboxes, agitators, pulpers, fans, refiners etc.

Installation of new rotating equipment including accurate alignment.

Follow site safety rules

Machining on lathes, milling machine, pillar drill etc.

Welding and basic fabrication.

Assist with writing risk assessments.

Repair and maintain pneumatic systems.

Repair and maintain hydraulic systems.

Repair and maintain steam plant.

Drive vehicles such as a forklift truck, cherry picker, scissor lift (training available)

Experience/skills

Computer literate with practical experience of CMMS systems.

Experience in a similar role.

Self motivated individual with a positive attitude

Ability to fault find and think on their feet.

Knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques.

Willingness to accept change and learn new skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 45,000.00-50,000.00 per year
