Job Title: Mechanical Fitter
Location: Port Talbot(with travel as required)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: From 36k
(+ 25 Night Shift Bonus)
We're Hiring - Experienced Mechanical Fitter
We are seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join our growing team based in Port Talbot, working on high-profile industrial and military projects. You will be involved in the installation and maintenance of large mechanical systems, including aircraft hangars and motorised door solutions.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong mechanical knowledge and experience in heavy industrial environments. The role may involve international travel, so a valid passport and willingness to travel abroad is essential.
Key Responsibilities:

• Install, assemble, and maintain mechanical systems, including large-scale industrial doors and associated components.
• Assist with mechanical fault finding, repairs, and upgrades.
• Work closely with electrical and engineering teams to ensure systems are installed to specification.
• Adhere to all site safety protocols and quality standards.
• Travel within and outside the UK as required to complete installations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in industrial or mechanical fitting, ideally in large-scale or heavy-duty environments.
• CSCS Blue Card - Essential
• Must pass a DBS check and vetting process due to work on military sites.
• Strong mechanical skills and ability to read technical drawings.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally is essential.
• Ability to work remotely when required.
• Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Additional Info:

• Occasional night and weekend work available at enhanced rates + 25 bonus per night
• Remote working may be required depending on project needs
• PPE and all necessary safety training provided
