Role Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team on a part-time basis This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual with a strong mechanical background and hands -on attitude to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct maintenance, repairs, and servicing of diesel engines, pumps, and industrial vacuum systems. Perform diagnostics and fault-finding on HGVs and various equipment used across the business. Strip, assess, and rebuild components as required, ensuring high standards of workmanship. Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work carried out. Assist in the upkeep and organisation of workshop tools and equipment. Follow company safety procedures and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Diesel Fitter or similar mechanical role. Hands-on experience working with diesel engines and pump systems, industrial vacuum equipment, HGVs and commercial vehicles, as well as a variety of mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Full UK driving licence (preferred).
