We are currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter to join our hardworking, skilled team. The successful candidate will be required to produce our company products to the required standard and quality, as defined by the drawings and written instructions.

Main tasks include:
Completing engineering duties for sub assembly production fitting and final assembly.
Assemble mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic components and sub assemblies, as required.
Assist with the production and build of fabricated assemblies of varying size and complexity from scratch, including marking out, cutting, folding, pipe bending, weld joint preparation, hydraulic runs, pneumatic runs and general production build assemblies.
Observe the companies Health & safety policy and procedures and execute duties in accordance with this. The jobholder is responsible for their own safety and that of others and is required to comply with the safety rules and those of the supervisor.
We are looking for someone with the following skills & experience:
Solid engineering background
Experience working from manufacturing drawings, general arrangement drawings and sub assembly drawings
Use of hand and power tools to assemble a wide variety of large and small fabricated components
Able to check the whole assembly for alignment, dimensions and quality
Circuitry knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and electrics
An eye for detail is essential with good problem solving skills
A team player with the ability to work on their own initiative
Experience of vehicle fabricating/fitting would be advantageous
A background is aviation, military, marine or similar is advantageous
Knowledge of basic electrical assembly and the ability to read electrical circuit drawings is preferred but not essential.
