Skilled new hires are defined as having completed a relevant government approved apprenticeship or as a minimum have achieved a Level 3 or above vocational qualification via a regulated Awarding Organisation in a STEM subject that is applicable to the role being applied for and supported by relevant industrial experience. This will be assessed and documented by the recruiter and hiring manager through a behavioural and technical interview, and if necessary, a trade test. The interview and any trade test need to be conducted by a competent individual whose knowledge and skills align with the role being recruited for. Example vocational qualifications could include: National/Scottish Vocational Qualification, National and Higher National Certificates/Diplomas, EAL Diploma's and Extended Diplomas, City and Guilds Diplomas and Extended Diplomas, Foundation Degrees

The department is responsible for the provision and maintenance of buildings, infrastructure, plant and equipment serving the main non-manufacturing sites; Gaydon, Whitley, Fen End and Oxford Road

WHAT TO EXPECT




Operating from a central facilities workshop, you will be responsible for conducting maintenance, fault finding and installation work in a variety of buildings with state-of-the-art vehicle design and test facilities. Whilst supporting the Estate management team ensuring all sites and facilities meet the needs of the business.



Support the Estate management team ensuring all sites and facilities meet the needs of the business Help to ensure a safe and efficient performance is delivered within the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People & the Environment framework Be responsible for ensuring all work carried out is to current industry standards and associated codes of practice. Complete all record sheets and paperwork associated with routine duties accurately and in good time. Handle the completion of tasks either as part of the PPM system or routine/planned works.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED




Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills you'll need to have to help you succeed here, including:



Completion of an appropriate trade apprenticeship with education to NVQ level 3 or equivalent. Experience in maintaining general office and workshop equipment and machinery. Knowledge of Pneumatics, hydraulics and machine tools Welding experience Fabrication Possession of a full clean driving license is essential
