Mechanical Fitter
Rate: 17.63 per hour + holiday pay
Location: CV23 area
Hours: Monday to Friday, normal days
Job Type: 6 month contract
Start Date: ASAP
We're seeking a dedicated Mechanical Fitter to join a forward-thinking team in the CV23 area for an initial 6-month contract with an immediate start available.

Mechanical fitter duties:

Mechanical and hydraulic assembly and/or end-of-line testing of components
Using measurement tools like verniers and micrometers for precision inspection
Supporting quality investigations and contributing to continuous improvement projects
Navigating basic systems and structured processes effectively
Managing time and tasks to meet tight deadlines
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in line with company standards

Mechanical fitter skills required:

Proven mechanical assembly and/or test skills
Knowledge of hydraulic systems and quality control processes
Confidence using standard measurement tools
Intermediate computer literacy - especially MS Office
A self-motivated attitude with strong organisational skills
GCSEs in Maths & English (Grade C or above)
Ideally, a time-served apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience
