Job Description

A vacancy has arisen in our Engineering department for a Mechanical Fitter. The successful candidate will report to the Mechanical Day Supervisor and will be a self-motivated industrial mechanical fitter. They will undertake planned preventative maintenance task in line with our maintenance management system and capital tasks to meet department and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:



Conduct routine maintenance on all equipment to prevent breakdowns Respond to machinery breakdowns in a timely manner Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical systems Install new machinery and equipment Adhere to health & safety regulations at all times Work as part of the Engineering Department to provide an integrated maintenance service

Qualifications and Experience:



Time-served with a minimum HNC in Mechanical Engineering Working knowledge of Mechanical engineering maintenance principles Experience of working in a manufacturing/chemical environment would be an advantage

Additional Information:



Occasional on-call duties may be required Willingness to travel may be necessary 4 weekly rest day with potential for overtime
