Mechanical Fitters Mate

Full time, permanent position available with an immediate start - Salary dependent on experience.

Monday - Thursday 08:00 to 17:00 Friday 07:30 to 16:00.

Due to company growth we are looking for a

Fitters Mate

to join our production environment. We are looking for an individual able to work cohesively in a team, and able to work on their own initiative. Ideally you will have the relevant mechanical background or worked in a similar engineering environment.

The Company:

World Leaders in welding and robot manipulation. Able to provide bespoke solutions to a World Class Customer Base. We design and manufacture high precision mechanical products for use in the production of wind turbines, the nuclear and defence sectors, general engineering, and oil and gas industries. Our machining is working mainly with ferrous but some non-ferrous metals, working to high precision tolerances. Progressive, forward thinking, and expanding due to growth.

Job description:

Building our own range of machinery and equipment whilst working in a highly motivated team to tight deadlines.

You need to be a self-motivated, confident, pro-active, and ambitious individual with essential skills for:

Building of sub-assemblies. Basic knowledge of mechanical components. Self-sufficient and adaptable. Confident in site work situations. Some experience with use of hand tools.

Adaptability and self-sufficiency. Strong communication skills. Reliability, honesty, and a right-first-time attitude. Keen eye for detail and accuracy. Flexible approach to working hours.
All in-house training will be provided for the right candidate.

Holiday entitlement - 20 days + 8 bank holidays (+1 birthday holiday)

The company has a shutdown over the Christmas period.
