Reliable Recruit are looking to hire a permanent Gearbox Fitter for a role at our clients workshop in Huddersfield

Responsibilities

Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine fitting requirements Assemble and fit components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with standards Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and efficiency Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations Troubleshoot fitting issues and implement effective solutions as necessary Document work completed and report any discrepancies or concerns to management

Working times and pay:

Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4pm, Friday 7.30am to 1.30pm Permanent role 32,500-45,000 dependant on experience Overtime available Weekend availability

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role within the manufacturing or engineering sector Strong understanding of mechanical systems and assembly techniques Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the workplace Relevant qualifications or certifications in fitting or engineering would be advantageous Drivers licence preferred but not essential.
