Job Role - Mechanical Inspection Lead

Salary - 41,744.25 per annum

Location - Corby

Working Hours - 4 on 4 off shift pattern (06:00-18:00)

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented

Mech/MOT Inspection Lead

to oversee the daily operations of our mechanical and MOT inspection processes. This role is critical to ensuring compliance, efficiency, and data accuracy across our inspection teams. You will be responsible for driving performance, maintaining data integrity, and supporting MOT managers in delivering high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day running of mechanical and MOT inspections, ensuring daily targets are met.

Monitor and support dedicated MOT managers in completing MOT paperwork and conducting QC checks.

Ensure MOT Juice is consistently updated with accurate and relevant data.

Input new MOT dates into our system under vehicle attributes, maintaining up-to-date records.

Track performance metrics and implement improvements to meet operational goals.

Maintain high standards of compliance and quality across all inspection activities.

Lead and motivate inspection teams in a fast-paced environment, fostering accountability and teamwork.

Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely communication.

Ensuring cars are completed in date order of arrival to site.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience in a previous people management role.

Computer literate with proficiency in

Excellent people management and communication skills.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and operational excellence.

Desirable Attributes

People management experience or qualifications.

Mechanical/Engineering background desirable but not essential.
