Overview

To support the manufacture and supply, on time & in full, of deep drawn components in line with customer and regulatory requirements, in a safe, environmentally responsible and cost effective manner.

To provide support in delivering a world class performance from the Presspart Blackburn manufacturing operation by identifying, prioritising, planning, implementing maintenance to ensure all manufacturing equipment is maintained to the highest standard.

The post holder will normally work a rotating 2 shift system (06.00 - 14.00, 14.00 - 22.00) Monday to Friday with some extra hours required to support operations.

Your key responsibilities:



Carry out preventative maintenance on all production-based equipment and constantly looking at opportunities to improve their effectiveness. Provide a fast and efficient reactive breakdown repair service to ensure production targets are met. Take responsibility for all the maintenance activities across shifts, assisting the production team leaders in prioritising work. Support the project engineering team in installing and validating new production equipment and taking responsibility for them on handover to production. Support and encourage H&T Excellence continuous improvement activities. Support 5S activities throughout the business.

Education / Training



Qualified to a minimum of National Certificate level in a mechanical discipline. Served a recognised apprenticeship in a relevant discipline, NVQ level 3 or equivalent.

Experience



Experience working in a production based maintenance environment for a minimum of 3 years. Experience working with a wide range of automatic production equipment. Experience working with pneumatics. Experience working with hydraulics. Understanding of power presses is advantageous.

Knowledge



Working knowledge of health & safety legislation and safety requirements in the workplace. Basic understanding of electrics is advantageous.
