Purpose of the role:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Multi- Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Maintenance team you will be responsible for ensuring that our production equipment is maintained to high standards ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, your main responsibilities will be to maintain and manage mechanical systems on company premises. To work closely with the maintenance team completing any other duties reasonably required.
The ideal candidate will have some experience in the below skills however training can be given to the right candidate.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Fully co-operate with the Company in meeting our statutory obligations as laid down under the Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, including and not limited to, looking after yourself and others who may be affected by your acts and omissions, and not interfere with or misuse anything issued in the interest of Health & Safety.
Assist the Company in meeting its legal and moral obligations for complying with our Environmental Management System BS EN ISO 14001 requirements.
Assist the Company in meeting its obligations for complying with our Quality Management System BS EN ISO 9001 requirements.
Experience of mechanical maintenance on CNC wood machines.
Experience of mechanical CNC metal working machines.
Experience of mechanical Laser cutting machines and bending machines.
Able to carry out planned preventative maintenance and breakdowns and log onto the relevant paperwork.
Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
Ensure priority is given to breakdowns and recorded in the appropriate log.
Ensure part stocks are maintained to the required level.
Assist with taking boiler readings and the environmental records.
Key Skills:
Direct production line Maintenance Engineering experience.
Pre-Planned and reactive industrial production Maintenance experience.
Working knowledge of planned preventative maintenance systems.
Have a good all-round Knowledge of electrical systems
Reading electrical and mechanical drawings
Pneumatic experience
Hydraulic experience
Experience of working with plant and machinery in a manufacturing industry.
Most be pro-active in maintenance ideas.
Positive can-do attitude.
Understand "Rout Cause Analysis".
Working Hours:
we work on a 1 shift pattern 7.30am -16.00pm, but if required to work longer or weekends overtime will be paid at the correct rate.
Person Specification:
An NVQ3, HND, HNC or City and Guild qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
Electrical experience and/or willingness to attend training.
Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
A Proactive and self-motivating attitude.
Not afraid to ask.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong IT skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
