Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

A leading manufacturer in Cardiff are eager to welcome a Maintenance Engineer to join their rapidly growing Engineering team. Responsibilities

Maintenance Engineers support the production machinery including reactive, trouble-shooting and repair tasks, planned preventative maintenance, new installations and refurbishments. This would suit Maintenance Engineers who like variation, to work across a range of machinery and equipment, who aren't afraid to apply themselves and learn.

You will be responsible for covering both proactive and reactive maintenance routines on both facilities and production equipment in a timely manner adhering to all Health and safety requirements.

Skills required for the Maintenance Engineer:

-Mechanical and electrical skills, with a bias on mechanical skills.

-Pneumatics & hydraulics.

- You will need to hold one of the following qualifications to be considered: NVQ Level 3, apprentice trained etc (HNC would be an advantage).

-Health and safety qualifications.

- Direct experience as a mechanical maintenance engineer (minium 3 years).

-Copper and metal pipework experience, with some plumbing experience required.

- Planned and reactive maintenance experience.

- To ensure maximum machine availability through effective planned preventative maintenance schedules.

- Installation of machinery and site services equipment.

Proactive work attitude and keen to get your hands dirty.



Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 30,000.00-42,000.00 per year
