Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
to join our team at our
Callow Rock site
, ensuring our operations run efficiently and safely across this busy 24/5 manufacturing environment. You'll be working on a 3 shift rotation (0600 - 1400, 0800 - 1600 and 1400 - 2200) in our automated block plant.
What you'll be doing:
As a key member of the maintenance team, you'll be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance to keep our plant and equipment operating at peak performance. You'll:
Perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, and inspections across all site equipment.
Respond promptly to breakdowns, ensuring quick recovery and implementing permanent solutions.
Support the development and implementation of safe working methods for all maintenance activities.
Keep accurate records of maintenance work and equipment inspections.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and promote a safe working environment at all times.
Collaborate closely with the site management and operations teams to minimise downtime.
Support and train operatives in basic maintenance activities.
What we're looking for:
You'll be an experienced mechanical maintenance engineer, ideally qualified to
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
, with proven experience in
welding, cutting, and fabrication
. You'll also bring:
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
A proactive approach with good planning and time management skills.
A strong understanding of health and safety standards in an industrial environment.
Flexibility to adapt to operational needs and respond to breakdowns quickly.
