MYgroup Ltd are a leading waste recycling company operating across four sites in the Yorkshire and Humberside regions. We are currently looking to recruit a Multi Skilled Engineer with a mechanical bias to join our team.

The main responsibilities of the mechanical maintenance engineer will be to ensure the ongoing running of the production process by limiting downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment. We are recruiting two positions, one based on site at our Hull facility and the other at our South Milford site, work will be focused on Factory machinery and equipment. As a mechanical maintenance engineer you will be responsible for maintaining all machines and equipment on site as well as delegating workload to nominated subcontractors when applicable.

The mechanical maintenance engineer role will include a range of duties including:

Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance

Responding to breakdowns

Diagnosing faults

Repairing equipment

Delegating specific jobs to external maintenance contractors and supervising / inspecting their performance and work.

Establishing and management of maintenance record ensuring renewals of machinery checks are upheld

Managing and ordering supplies

Ensuring compliance with health & safety legislation

Installation of new machinery

Our ideal candidate would possess the following skills and experience:

Heavy mobile plant experience an advantage

Competent using welders and Oxy propane equipment

An acknowledged level of experience and effective working knowledge

Experience in a similar role with a proven track record

Recognised training and qualifications to demonstrate competency

Problem solving and technical skills relevant to the position

Organised, methodical and good attention to detail

Excellent communication skills

Organised record keeping

Available to work additional hours when required

Clean driving licence

Hours:

- Monday to Thursday 7:00am-5:00pm, Friday 7:00am-2:30pm

Rate of pay:

20.00-22.00 per hour

Holiday Entitlement:

30 Days including bank holidays increasing one day per year for each year of service to a maximum of 5 additional days

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 20.00-22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
