About the Role

An established precision engineering manufacturer in Leicester is seeking a

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

to join their skilled maintenance team in Leicester. You'll play a key role in keeping a range of CNC and specialist machinery running efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining high production standards.

In this position you will work in a skilled team of 5. It's a

days role with a 2pm finish every day

, and offers an annual salary of 35,000.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Key Responsibilities:

Perform mechanical maintenance on CNC and specialist machinery.

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs.

Undertake refurbishment of plant, equipment, and machinery as needed.

Support with PLC fault finding and basic interrogation (Fanuc and Siemens).

Work across multiple sites within the Leicester area.

Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and company maintenance standards.

Diagnose and repair faults across gearboxes, bearings, shafts, pumps, tanks, and drive systems.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Requirements:

Minimum of

3 years' experience

in a maintenance role within an CNC environment.

Experience fault-finding and repairing

CNC multi-axis machines

.

Familiarity with

Fanuc and Siemens controls

.

Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, and emerging technologies.

A proactive, adaptable team player who can prioritise tasks and work independently.
