Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our clients fantastic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities by maintaining, repairing, and optimising mechanical and electrical systems. This position requires a proactive approach to maintenance, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
• Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnose and repair faults on production machinery and plant equipment promptly and efficiently.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly to breakdowns and ensure minimal downtime to maintain production schedules.
• Fault-Finding: Carry out electrical and mechanical fault-finding using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Equipment Installation: Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring proper integration with existing systems.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report findings to management and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Qualifications: Preferably NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Ideally 10 years in a maintenance engineering role in a Precision Engineering Environment.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including both manual and CNC manufacturing machines (grinding machines), hydraulics, pneumatics, and motors.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
