We are now seeking 2x Mechanical

Maintenance Engineers

to join our on-site engineering team.

Shifts/Hours:

Position 1: Monday-Friday days - 1 x day: 07:00 - 17:00, 4 x days: 07:00 - 16:30 (48 hours average as standard)

Position 2: 4 on 4 off (days or nights)

Working days will vary and weekend availability is required, further details to be discussed at interview stage.

Responsibilities:

Carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting on plant machinery and mechanical systems (e.g. pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulics) Support and deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise downtime, using CMMS systems (e.g. Holistech) React to breakdowns efficiently, performing fault diagnosis and safe replacement/repair of parts Work closely with production teams to maximise utilisation and performance of site equipment Contribute to continuous improvement, supporting new methods, cost-saving measures and increased equipment efficiency Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety legislation, SOPs and company standards Maintain accurate maintenance records, statutory documentation and compliance logs Work independently and as part of a small engineering team, supporting colleagues where required

Requirements:

Apprentice-trained Mechanical Engineer (minimum Level 3) with proven industrial/manufacturing experience Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostics skills, with hands-on experience in heavy plant maintenance Experience with mechanical systems such as pumps, hydraulics, conveyors, gearboxes, etc. Understanding of PPM systems and delivering maintenance within a process/production environment Knowledge of Health & Safety responsibilities within an industrial setting Strong communication skills - both written and verbal (Level 3 English/IELTS or equivalent) Highly motivated, proactive and open to personal development and company training Able to work independently without immediate supervision and flexible to support weekend/shift requirements Must be eligible to work in the UK
